The thing I like best about these tubes is the air nozzle is completely threaded and includes a ring that seats against the wheel face, making it easy to fill. I ride a lot of miles every week, and it is inevitable in this area to pick up a sand burr, especially in August. All tubes must have seams because of manufacturing processes which can be a hindrance to a patch repair, but these tubes don't seem to cause problems in that area. I am very glad that I discovered these tubes.
I've been using Continental Grand Prix tires for decades, and they continue to impress. The performance and road feel are exceptional, striking a perfect balance between speed and comfort. For lightweight tires, they are surprisingly durable, handling a variety of conditions with ease. On most of my rims (Hunt, Mavic), mounting and dismounting is not too difficult, which is always a bonus. These tires have long been my go-to choice, and I run them on all my road bikes. Highly recommended for anyone looking to elevate their ride.
I've tried 7-8 different saddles before ending up on the SR Allroad and am glad I gave it a try! Ergon has me between sizes with an 11.9 sitbone width and I chose to go S/M and think that was the right choice since I've never felt more comfortable on a ride. There have been no pressure points or sit bone pain in the 300 miles I've had the saddle for. Only time will tell if this is a durable saddle or not since it has a foam core that is my only worry with it so far.
Replaced the BB on my 4 year-old / 19,000 mile Specialized Roubaix. I opted for the Park 59.3 BB tool rather than using an adapter. I replaced my crank at the same time because a full crank on sale wasn't much more expensive than the regular price of the big chain ring that I needed to replace.
I hadn't done a repair like this on this "generation" of Shimano drivetrain technology. It was surprisingly easy to do. If you have moderate wrenching skills and access to YouTube, this is definitely something you can do at home.
