Use on mountain bike rides. The straps are very comfortable over the shoulders. Pad is great and Ive been comfortable on 4-5 hour rides. Leg bands are good and stay put without being too tight. No interference with knee pads. Best feature is being able to pull down the back for bathroom breaks - no more having to take jersey and jackets off which is huge in the winter. Washed 15 times so far and no sign of wear or problems with stitching. Seems to air dry quicker than my Louis Garneu kit. 58. 135# and wearing size L.
I do really like these shorts! The material is light and stretchy. The padded liners are quite comfortable for me. There are two zipper, side pockets - handy for keys. I like having color options. No regrets at all!
But: (1) My value rating is definitely based on a good sale. (2) It says that the liner is removable. That's true, but it is a permanent choice - cut. If they stay attached, they get very twisted in the wash. Just be aware of that. (3) The sizes are pretty consistent with PI sizing, but that's small compared to some other brands.
Works great as a wind shell on top of other layers. Aerodynamically trim fit - including arms/shoulders - which I prefer - it prevents wind puffing up the shoulders and obstructing the view from my mirror. I have both medium and large sizes - medium for over just a jersey, large for wearing over heavier layers. Not really breathable - if you sweat, the inside will have water droplets. One improvement would be to add a pass through for access to jersey pockets.
The chamois quality delivers 100% comfort. I don't have to use cream when I ride anymore.
Bathroom breaks are no longer a dreaded wrestling match.
The quality of the materials is top notch, washes in gentle cycle in warm water and air dries brilliantly. Like new bibs every wear. I ordered 3 pair of bibs. I also ordered 2 pair of shorts as well. I haven't worn the shorts, and I am pretty sure I never will. Sizing: On point. I bought S. I'm 5' 6" - 115 lbs.
Sale or no sale these bibs are a steal.
