I am 5'3 and 140 lbs so I'm not a thin elite person with an athletic figure. I'm not overweight but I am what u would call 'a little thick' through my upper body. I see all these gorgeous vests on cyclists and wish I could find something to replace my baggy bright yellow Pearl Izumi that has lasted me over 20 years. When I try something new on, the arms and body are too long and so I tell myself 'nothing is wrong with my PI vest' and go home dejected. After following in love with this new vest online for so many reasons such as: it's overall style, it's a little shorter in length fitting my body better, the color is gorgeous, it has some stretch, three pockets on the back are deep enough for a variety of items, a two way zipper is like icing on the cake, and free returns! I've worn it several time riding and I'm sold! Not too warm but also providing warmth when needed. It's so comfortable! And this 73 year old grandma feels rather hip!! I'm tempted to buy a second one'

I do really like these shorts! The material is light and stretchy. The padded liners are quite comfortable for me. There are two zipper, side pockets - handy for keys. I like having color options. No regrets at all!
But: (1) My value rating is definitely based on a good sale. (2) It says that the liner is removable. That's true, but it is a permanent choice - cut. If they stay attached, they get very twisted in the wash. Just be aware of that. (3) The sizes are pretty consistent with PI sizing, but that's small compared to some other brands.

Works great as a wind shell on top of other layers. Aerodynamically trim fit - including arms/shoulders - which I prefer - it prevents wind puffing up the shoulders and obstructing the view from my mirror. I have both medium and large sizes - medium for over just a jersey, large for wearing over heavier layers. Not really breathable - if you sweat, the inside will have water droplets. One improvement would be to add a pass through for access to jersey pockets.
