Way cool. Great product. Fits in nicely.
I used to ride Look Keo 2 Max pedals on two different bikes. I've recently changed to another pedal type. One reason was that these cleats simply wear down too fast. Yes, I've tried the Look Keo walking padded ones but I find they change the clip-in angle enough to bother me. So while I don't walk in these except around my car or to put a foot down at lights, they still wear too quickly for my taste.
Look pedals and cleats are some the best you can buy. Been using them for longer than I can remember and have never had a problem with either the pedals of cleats. Great product and great value.
These replacement cleats work fine. I've never had a problem with them. They do wear out over time, especially if you walk around on them without cleat covers. They wear out on the side that you touch down when stopped, so you have to check them periodically. They are somewhat pricey.
I buy much cheaper cleats usually but thought I'd spring for something nice. I know this sounds weird but these are some fantastic cleats.
These are nice cleats! Compared to Look pedals and cleats from the past, the Keo design is a big improvement and the teflon-like material bonded to the cleat serves as smoothing buffer to address any creaking or stiffness.
Started with these moved to the more expensive ones with grip which did help with walking on tile but also made more noise on the bike. Now I am back with these.
These are the cleats with the most float on the look keo line
Pros
Small indicator dots let you know when you should replace
Clip in and stay in
Last about 1 yr, riding 6 days a week.
Cons
The screws can get a little sticky and rusty if you don't take care of them
They can be slippery at first, especially if you aren't used to walking in cleats.
good cleats. these seem to be better than the look grip cleats as those cause some squeeking with the pedals. the grippers on the grip cleats dont seem to last long anyhow, so these are cheaper and work fine. if you walk alot in your cleats then some cleat covers will do the job.
It's what you want, what you expect, what you need. Take the word of a guy who tried to cheap out on Look equivalent knock-offs. They're not equivalent. Get the best deal you can, but get the real deal.
I have been riding the Keo platform on my Sidis for a few years. I recently purchased a new pair of Look Keo Replacement Cleats and have been riding on them for a couple of months. I'm still sold on the Keo cleat in terms of power transfer, design, quick entry and exit, and the reassuring click they provide when I snap my cleat into place. And, BONUS, they are very quiet too. So I would give them five out of five stars. I will continue to buy them without any reservation.
