I purchased 2 within the last 6 months and both arrived with pin holes. Needless to say, I have no confidence in this tire.
Very good
One of the tubs has been installed on the bike and seem to be funtioning fine. The second tube might have worked fine except for some reason it came with a snake bite puncture so who knows.
I've only had these tubes 2 months, but I am impressed with how well they hold air. The tube walls seem thicker, and the tubes therefore heavier, but maybe that's why they hold air better. I use them on my touringcommuter bike, so the weight is not a factor. They cost about a dollar more than other tubes I have used, but it looks like they will be worth it. They were slightly more difficult to install, because of the heavierthicker tube walls. The 36mm stem length is a bit short, but adequate for a trekking rim. If you have deep rims, you will want a longer stem.
These are heavy tubes but I'm using them on 28mm tires and well if the tire is already heavy who cares what the tube weighs? Besides I pump these tubes up once a week and they hold air. Plus no flats from the seam splitting like on those cheap Chinese tubes. If you are using Specialized Armadillo 28's you're probably going to want the smaller tube as those tires are very narrow. Continential Gatorskins or Panaracer 28's they fit fine.
I'm a racer Enthusiast. I like my race bikes, but enjoy relaxing on my touring bike as well. I put these tubes on my touring bike and they are awesome. Save latex or light weight tubes for your racing machine. Who cares how much your fun bike weighs. Actually the heavier the better, just makes you stronger when you get on your serious machine.
