Installation of the mount system was a snap and easy to adjust to get my Garmin computer and bottle in the right spot. I did have to wrap a little electrical tape on my extensions just to snug the mounting brackets up a bit. However, I found that by mounting the base of the mount system upside down (under the extension bars instead of on top) and remounting the bottle cage, I could get the bottle to rest almost directly on the extensions making it even more aerodynamic. Not sure if XLAB engineered it this way but it does work very well for me in this configuration. The whole system could be lighter, but there is the Kompact 500 if that is a huge concern. Overall this is easy to mount and use.
