The post would be a 5 star , but it is too small diameter in a 27.2 size.I had heard of Thomson posts creaking in the past, now I wonder if they are slightly undersized?

Given Thomson's reputation , I assumed it was my frame, but an Easton and a Bontrager post fit perfectly with no creaking.

This is a very nice post and it is easy to adjust. It replaces a carbon fiber seat post from my 2009 colnago (that had been cut to approx same length) and it is surprisingly lighter. Also the Colnago-labeled post was very awkward to adjust, but this is very easy.

Improved top tube length, and seat hight . Best seat post ever.

This seatpost is is simple, light, and awsome. Eazy to adjust and no creaking. Love it!

I've gone through a few seatposts and this takes the cake. It's by far the best looking and well crafted post I've used.

Lighter than most Carbon Fibre models. Easy to install and adjust. Elegant.

I wanted a lighter seat post which also allowed easy adjustment of the seat...this one did the job!

test is out strong and very light ,lighter than my eastern carbon post which had the head mount stripped out because of making of carbon .

only complaint is the fine horizontal grooves or line that runaround the post ,as with all the thomson post still doesn't grip that well when compare to carbon post or sandblasted post like kore.

This aluminum seat post is precision machined and beautifully made. The set back feature allows better seat placement.

This post went on my new Parlee Z4 frame.

I have one on another bike too and have found this post to be the absolute best for me. Light, micro adjustable, and bulletproof.

Some things just don't need to be carbon and my seatpost is one of those things.

This seat post has it all. Super light weight, solid as a rock, easy on the eyes, and American made.

The only draw back I can see it is a little more difficult to attach the saddle than most one bolt systems.

If you're looking for a professional level post, this is the one for you.

I'm buying my second Thomson Masterpiece to replace the carbon seat post on my second bike. I've used my first Thomson for a year and it has lived up to it's superb reputation in every way. Fits perfectly, micro adjustable, never slips or lets the seat angle change. Beautifully made as well. I only look for the best components and have finally found the best seat post.
