These are good chains at competitive prices. Life span depends On the rider , bike and hills.
If you have both 10 and 11 speed bikes then these chains work for both.
The chain was very noisy. At first I thought it was front derailleur rub but not the case. The chain would also occasionally sound as if it was jumping a cog. It was a bit quieter with a ton of lube but still not acceptable. The chain direction was correct and even after 700 miles it never stopped. I think I'm going to try a Sram 1170.
I have this chain on several bikes and it works great. It also lasts quite a while although I don't tract mileage on my chains. I do take care of them however. Lube when necessary. On the rain bike, WD-40 to displace the water and chain lube for it's intended purpose.
Performs precisely on my road and gravel bikes. Keep your drive train clean and you'll get plenty of miles out of this chain. And I've never broken a link even in hard gunky climbs.
general riding in all kinds of weather with great success
Slight upgrade to my 105, works well.
This is a replacement and Ultegra always works well.
Great chain for my 11s, glad that Shimano now includes a smart link.
This is exactly what I was looking for. A nice chain to replace my current one on a cobbled together 105/Ultegra setup. These seem to last me anywhere from 500-1,000 miles for a great price.
The only chain I use
This chain moves my rear tire when I pedal and has a lot of shiny links. I highly recommend it.
I got this to replace the stretched out KMC chain that came with my Ultegra gearset. I figured Shimano chain with Schimano gears must be good. Installation was a breeze, the only issue was some occasional clicking the first hundred miles or so as the chain wore into the teeth, I'm guessing. Couple thousand miles now and no stretching, though I am keeping this one better cleaned and lubed than my old one.
I especially like the quick link to join the chain ends after sizing. Its not reusable (per Shimano) but it seems to be more foolproof than using a pin like older models required.
Ill use this chain when I need a replacement too.
Great chain easy to install prompt delivery
Functional long life chain
The real deal. Genuine Shimano, no fake stuff here. And at a fair price.
I have run both the SRAM Force 22 and the Ultegra HG701on my 11speed Shimano Ultegra. The Ultegra/XT runs much quieter even when I have a SRAM cassette mounted.
This chain is exactly what I expected. Seems fine, and will go on my bike, when the old one is worn to the point of needing replacement. I'm sure it will work as advertised
All I use on all my bikes is ultegra shimano chains. They do there job well and are somewhat affordable compared to others.
I installed a new drivetrain, crankset, cassette and this chain and I'm completely happy with it.
