Surprisingly long life-span ridingcommuting in an urban environment. (2,000 miles)
I've been using Shimano sod cleats for over 20 years and they are. Second to none. I have them set up on both my road and triathlon shoes. I highly recommend them.
The brand name cleats always work great and last longer. Now with the supply chain issues over, the cost is much better!
I love these cleats. They come with new screws for attachment. The install easily and work perfectly the first time.
They last a long time and I don't use cleat covers ! rubber makes it easy for walking , these cleats preform well with the shimano pedals that are rock solid!
The cleat always works perfectly. It's no wonder it's used by so many cyclists and racers. It tends to wear out sooner than I'd like, but all do.
The Shimano cleats wear as well as any brand I have ever had.
They have a large platform and I especially like the rubber walking tips on the cleat edges. It does wear off in time , but makes it easier to negotiate the cafe floor.
Used for years. Can't go wrong.
These have treated me with some mercy! I'm a newbie on clipless pedals and I have to say it's been a very comfortable experience clipping in and out with these given the amount of float they have.
They work like they are supposed to work
Ordered the yellow cleats but the bolts were too short for Sidi shoes. Needed 13.5 mm so I had to order replacement bolts as 10 mm were provided. This added to the cost and delayed the use of the replacment cleats. At the price point, one would think Shimano would provide both sizes of bolts.
Looking for replacement cleats for my 15 year old cycling shoes. These were a perfect replacement at a reasonable price.
It's hard reviewing the cleat without reviewing the pedal since one is integral to the other. I've tried Look and Speedplay and like Shimano SPD-SL the best. I needed a cleat with minimal float and predictable clipping in. Speedplay, even the Zero, had too much float for me although they were a breeze to clip into. Look was okay for float, but the bearing quality andor tension was not good and they would not consistently hang for easy clipping in. The Shimano SPD-SL Dura Ace pedal has great bearings (which are replaceable) and a metal wear plate over the axle (also replaceable). The color of the cleat corresponds to the float- I use blue. Clipping in is not a problem. The only trouble I've had is knocking off the little contact points at the rear of the cleat. They stick out and can easily get caught on an edge although I've not had this happen since using cleat covers and even if it does happen, the cleat is still useable, only less protected from wear with walking.
There is nothing I don't like about this pedal.
Will use on my bike shoes. They clip in very nicely. They are made of plastic so they wear out very quickly.
Cleats work perfect with little float. Great power transfer for smooth pedaling
Not much to say but who doesn't like new cleats ? New cleats feel solid and look great the end.
I ordered these to replace my worn cleats and one of my cycling friends after seeing them asked for a pair also. Nice to know you can maintain a product without having to buy a new system each time an item needs replacing.
I love the 0 float - if you like to feel 1 with the pedals, these are the cleats for you
I went from the yellow to the blue ones (less float) and what a difference (or maybe I waited too long and the yellow ones were beat up??) They are solid, easy to walk around on and last several months. Love those Dura-Ace pedals too!
