These sandals are great with clip-in pedals, With flat pedals the insert covering the cleat hole is very hard material that does not grip well, One of the most comfortable shoes I have tried with cleats. Flatties a no go.
I've owned the old 3 strap version for many years. They're coming to the end of their life and these two strap ones are a nice replacement. They fit well and are very comfortable. They're easy to walk around in as well as cycle in. I'd recommend them to anyone that wants to cycle in sandals.
casual riding on fl trails
Ive yet to try these since its still winter but they seem to fit fine. A little long as Im between sizes. Im typically a 10.5 so I ordered an 11. Wish they made half sizes.
Great price and quality construction. Shimano has great products.
I use my cycling sandals daily for commuting to work on Guam. I love their comfort and ease to use! I no longer need to use socks, allowing my feet to breath which is awesome! On wet cycling days I don't have to worry about whether by shoes will dry before I need them for my return commute. For tropical climates these are definitely the way to go!
I've been needing a good quality pair of sandals for a while. This fit the bill for comfort and value. They look like they will last for years. The Shimano XT of sandals. I probably won't go clipless with them. The bolts for the SPDs are quite recessed so there's no worry of scratching wooden floors...
The only issue I had was the length of the straps, as I have high insteps. The company sent a larger size and that solved the problem. I liked the fact that sandals, minus cleats, can work as walking sandals as well, so less weight in my luggage.
I have been trying to find a pair of these for years. They are the best cycling shoes I have own. I often keep them on when I finish my ride and have to walk the dog.
Very comfortable and perfect when I ride my recumbent.
I like that these are lighter weight than my other cycling sandals... however, they are too wide on me and they can't be tightened far enough for me - allowing my feet to slip around inside too much that it is somewhat dangerous when I need to put my feet down. Now, I have fairly expensive shoes I cannot use. Guess it's off to try and sell them on marketplace - hopefully to someone with wider feet than me!
If you like biking in sandals, then these are great! I was not too concerned about open-toe vs. covered toe, so not a factor here. A bit pricey, but not a big deal given the years of use I will get from them.
The sandals are comfortable to wear. They allow your toes to spread out instead of being crammed into cycling shoes.
I had an ingrown toenail and my Victor was so sore that I could not put my spin shoes on. I got these to to do spin classes and they are so great that I will continue to use them even after my toe is better. Also quick service and shipping.
These sandals don't give up very much to shoes. They can cinch up tight, don't flex under power and are so comfortable when biking or walking. In the summer they are my daily go to except for serious group rides or heavy climbing. 50 miles of rolling country roads, hell yeah.
Shoes are very comfortable. They flex a little so you lose some of the value of clipins but the comfort makes up for it. Much cooler than my other shoes.
In cold weather match with Sealskin Gortex wool socks for all year comfort.
I like these sandals- ordered a larger size due to my semi - wide feet but these are not confining so had to exchange for normal size! Have not used on bike yet - have been wearing with the sole insert!

great spd sandal. highly recommend this product
Saved my life in the Methow Valley Sawtooth range, but then it was time for a new pair. But, dont try to use them on any Tour de France bike tour the guides wont let you, despite being stiff enough to use with eggbeaters.
