I bought this recently from bikesdirect for my gravel bike and it was delivered in perfect condition. I have tried a a bunch of saddles for my medium-sized frame, weighing 170 lbs. So far, this is the most comfortable saddle among the ones I have tried (Avatar gel saddle, Selle SMP TRK gel saddle, SQlab 610 ergolux active, Selle anatomica, Fabric scoop etc.). For one, the saddle has a flat sitting surface which is great for my sit bones. Second, the gel padding is quite comfortable. Third, the saddle is not too wide at 15 cm so no rubbing or chafing (13 cm sit bones). Finally, the saddle, seems to have some flex so the sit bones don't get achy from a rigid saddle. The quality also seems very good with a textured leather surface and the saddle is relatively light compared to the SMP saddle and the anatomica saddle. The saddle also allows me to move around so that I can relieve pressure points when I am cycling. The pricing is also very good from bikesdirect. Very nice saddle. Highly recommended.
I've tried numerous saddles over the years and this ranks as my favorite. I needed a saddle with a little extra width and this one met that need. After making a few height adjustments and slanting the saddle slightly downwards (something that works best for me), I now return from bike rides with no soreness or irritations thanks to the gel padding and cutout.
I have used Selle Italia saddles for several years and a few different incarnations of the Gel Flow version. In the past I used a saddle from a competitor with success until they went out of business. I went through a few years of saddle sores while searching for a comfortable replacement. I'm very satisfied with the Selle Italia Man Gel Flow Saddle.
For me, the saddle is 3 stars for comfort. I have owned it for 2 years and had to point it nose down for the last year to relieve pressure. I have not found any saddle that I would call truly comfortable. However, I give it 1 star for durability. After 2 years of riding it 50 - 75 miles per week, the covers on mine and my wife's have both worn out. Hers at the perforations and mine at the lower edge. I weigh 170 and she weighs 90. We have never had a saddle wear out in 2 years.
Switched seats due to loss of fat layer near sit bones caused by getting older. My First seat was a Stelle flight that was fine until I started hurting on longer gravel rides. Researched the condition and read about this saddle rectifying the condition. And it worked. It is a 143 which is mid-width it is relatively light given its volume. Because of the increased padding, I did have to lower it to readjust my ergonomics. Uncertain of life yet but will update review later.
An earlier than usual update to my original very positive review. I installed this saddle in my gravel bike. My frame is medium, about 5 feet 11 inches and 170 lbs. The saddle is remarkably comfortable so that is unchanged. The best I have tried among numerous saddles. Unfortunately, just after a few hundred miles, the leather covering is already showing signs of scuffing and wear near the front of the saddle. I am taken aback because it looks extreme on a saddle this new. Don't know what's up the saddle. Did I receive a bad one or is this a problem with the material used in the saddle? The leather covering is quite soft. If the saddle wears out in less than a thousand miles, it is not such a great value.
The saddle is much more comfortable than my previous saddle. Seems to have eliminated a irritation I was getting from the old saddle. Highly recommend it and the price was good.
I've ridden saddles from this company exclusively for 30 years. They fit me well are comfortable on the long rides and hold up well over time. This new saddle falls into that category. It's well made, reasonably priced, looks classy and adds to my comfort and stability on my Gravel bike. I can whole heartedly endorse this product.
I only ride about 100 miles per week on flat roads, but I find the seat very comfortable. I've only have the seat for a couple of months and find it quite suitable for me. I also like the quality of the workmanship.
Have had this saddle for over a year and now more than 3k miles on my gravel bike with this saddle. When new, the saddle was very comfortable. After a thousand miles, noticed wear in the leather. Now after 3k miles, the gel feels very mushy and my sit bones get achy after a 2 hour ride. Good saddle but doesn't seem to last long. I am 170 lbs.
mounted on a gravel bike ridden on Michigan roads. You can feel the mobility of the gel under the saddle covering when you twist your torso to look for on coming traffic. I have a cheap pair of bike shorts with a really thick chamois pad, I feel as though this saddle would be even more comfortable with a thinner chamois. No issues with 50 mile rides.
Ive ridden a lot of saddles, and love minimalist, lightweight saddles. However, when it comes to long days, and week long rides, nothing is more comfortable. Its all personal preference as always.
I ride regularly for commuting and recreation. The seat has the right blend of padding but being appropriately firm.
Needed a saddle to replace Trek saddle on new Domane SL6. It's lightweight and I plan to ride long century rides without pain in my sit bones! Longest ride so far is a 30-miler and it provided good support.

Purchase this to replace the big numbing seat on my spin bike. I ride for approximately 50 minutes five times a week to maintain base level fitness when I'm unable to go out for an actual ride, So the weight wasn't an issue.
I called in to get some advice and I was directed towards this seat. I'm glad I did because it's working out really well, no more numbing.
Like everyone else, I've tried several other seats looking for that one that doesn't leave me sore after a long ride. I read the many reviews and decided to give it a try. Well after quite a few rides later, the hunt is over. I like it so much my riding partner just ordered one. Please keep making these!!!
Having reached an age when fat is reabsorbed, I found myself with an un-padded perineum. After favorite saddles were giving me the most amazing prostate exam, I searched for relief. The quest took a year and took its toll on my un-padded bottom. Finally the Sella Italia Man Gel Flow Saddle put me back in the saddle , so to speak. The relief area is not so nearly as important as the gel flow padding. My saddle time is now two and a half times what it was. I'm hoping to regain some of the fitness I lost trying other saddles.
As a former racer and long time cyclist, I need to tell you that things change as we get older. Apparently the body ends to reabsorb fat from certain regions of the body. In my case it was my feet and my perineum. Feet you fix with orthotics and padding, the perineum is a whole new ball game. (no pun intended) I could no longer tolerate even my most beloved racing saddles. This saddle is just the right width with enough padding and relief area to allow my irritated perineum to heal. I believe I lost up to 2 years riding time playing around with different gel chamois, saddles and saddle height. And after an hour of cycling I no longer get the sensation of a prostate exam. If you're having issues with your tissues I highly recommend this saddle.
After eight years at 5,000 to 8,000 miles per my old Sella Italia was showing signs of wear. After much searching, I was exited to finally find and order one. It is thicker and heavier then my old one. I put it on my gravel bike and it is fine but I still need one like my original for my road bike.
