Living in Simi Valley CA (Rocky Peak Trails) its a clear choice for me that Trail Torch is the right lens even in full sun. Details: after researching online I determined that either the road lens or the trail torch lens would be the ones I want to look into. Immediately the torch lenses really show contrast and all the subtleties of not only the trails but off to the side in the shadows of the bushes chaparral etc. all at one time. I thought the trail torch would be too bright in full sun so I had thought about having both Road and trail torch. Yesterday I finally got to ride I went out at noon in Southern California with no shade at about 90. I found out that the trail torch allow me to descend Way faster and way safer. Im super super sensitive to light and kind of everything for that matter. The difference was remarkable between my naked eye the trail torch and the road. A trail torch allows me to do way more safer this difference was actually kind of huge. If youre tempted to go Road for mountain biking they will be more like being more in the shade but they just clearly will not allow you to see the subtleties the same And after all were mountain biking not sitting in lawn chair. The trail torches are great technology and with the concern of rattlesnakes off to the side of trails right now not only do these lenses let you see the trail but they let you see into the shadows much more simply. That was kind of a ramble but whatever lol Take the review for what its worth. Get the trail torch for safety and Confidence. Final thing to mention I took the trail torch glasses off and was looking at the side of the sandstone cliff that was glaring at me. the trail torches when put back on absolutely do reduce glare so they are functioning as sunglasses still. I found I didnt really have to squint at all whereas without I definitely did.
Lenses are near impossible to clean. They just smear, which makes it a real pain when the lenses keep popping out necessitating fingers to try and reseat them! The metal piece at the bridge of the nose somehow disables the lens from being secured in the frames and from what I can tell, seems to be there to help pop the lens out. That piece fell out on the second ride so I don't even have it anymore. I have tried to not buy Luxotica glasses (conglomerate that owns most major brands) as they've seemingly dumbed Oakleys (as well as raybans and others) down to the lowest common denominator. I took a punt on Oakleys when they went on sale, but this will be the last pair I buy. Not happy with them. Will go back to Roka.
I use these mainly for road cycling, but I do like how they cover majority of the eye area which works as protection from debris in addition just filtering out certain light when cycling. I would highly recommend these glasses.
Love the style and how light these are. They offer great coverage and stay put even down some pretty technical single track. I do get a little bit of wind flowing in at the sides occasionally and have noticed the gray lenses I got don't cut through the sun as well as some other lenses I own.
I really like the coverage of these sunglasses. They also fit very comfortable. I have a smaller nose and it sits well on me. I had the previous years model and these seem to stay on my face better.
Sweet frames. Awesome lens/shield. Excellent quality.
High quality and the best sunglasses I own. Best protection against the elements
These sunglasses will automatically improve your FTP by 10 watts. All you have to do is wear them and boom you'll be hitting numbers you never thought possible. I even wear them for Zwift races despite the fact that I'm riding in my basement and it's not very sunny.
I have a lot of sunglasses, oakley, Smith, Rudy project... And these are one of the only pairs that actually keep my eyes from getting wind blown. I love the fit, the protection, and the style. The size is about the same as the jawbreaker, just with a more flat profile so they stick out just a bit more.
Light weight and very comfortable. Full coverage and keeps the wind out. Lens is so clear and good on the eyes.
Got these at the start of the riding season. I barely feel them on my face, and they never NEVER obstruct my vision. Great performance. For looks - nephews in their 20's that I ride with think I look awesome and super stylish. The older riders are not so impressed. Still, I never notice these shades, even on all day rides. To me, that's the ultimate endorsement.
These have outstanding coverage. I have never had a pair of biking glasses where my view is completely unobstructed in every possible direction. Theyre light, but also never move on my face. I can barely feel theyre there. Love them!
Im big on the retro look. With these you get the retro look with the technology of today.

Great on a road ride. Lightweight, durable and comfortable. Provides full-shield coverage against sunlight and debris.
The frames are lightweight, and easily adjustable to my face.
The lens are high quality Oakley lens, that adjust to the ever changing daily sunlight.
I love these sunglasses!
Quality frame. The white frame is nice. You can swap out lenses fairly easy.
Better than 100% and the rest
These glasses are very lightweight and are so large that I cannot see the frames in any cycling position. The light transmission seems perfect in nearly all conditions.
I like them.
