Get lots of compliments on the white walls..have ridden close to 1,000 miles with no flats, and no cuts. A little hard to get on the rim but soap helps.
I ride 30 miles per day, five days per week, mostly on flat ground. I have been getting 4000 miles on Pro3's on fairly smooth streets and It looks like the Pro4's have better rubber.
Definitely worth the extra cost. Reliable, performance tire.
I raced in the 206 mile Lotoja race and they rocked it, with the help of Latex inside the tubs this tire rolls on and on with no blow outs...
I love this tire, because it does not go flat as often as the Pro 3. The bike has a better ride then the Pro 3.
These really are an awesome tire set I like the 25mm and they roll so smooth and fast love em.
Very quiet, fast and great cornering. Easy to mount and remove.
I ride a lot of miles, but very clean roads, therefore zero flats so far.
Nice quick, comfortable ride, highly recommended.
I purchased these tires and have about 600 miles on them now. They're more confidence inspiring than the Conti 4000 (pre black chili compound), reminds me of the bontrager race x lite tires I liked a lot, but with much better puncture resistance.
Overall wear seems reasonable, but there does seem to be cracking between sidewalls and contact patch, particularly on the front tire. Ride quality does not seem affected but I will have to keep a close on if the cracking is superficial or structural.
A fast training tire, easy to install, with similar performance, but increased wear resistance to the Pro Race 3 (it's predecessor).
I loved the ProRace3 tires even with their limited service life at my 178 pounds. They were fast and comfortable and grippy in the dry or the wet.
I bought a set of the Pro4s as soon as they came out. They are as just fast, comfortable and grippy as the 3's but with noticeably greater wear life. I am now on the second set of Pro4s for my older bike and have just put a pair on my newer bike.
As a user of the ProRace series for years I can say that, with the increased wear life of the Pro4s, Michelin has created a real winner.
I use these on my race wheels - carbon clinchers and latex tubes, are great so far, no cuts to the tires after a few hundred miles, I have race a couple of crits in them and they hold the corners really well, very confidence inspiring -same for hilly descents. Will see how long the life of the tire is, but great so far.
I've been using the pro3 race tires with Easton EA90 wheels for several years in the Seattle area. I liked the Pro3's and looked to replace them with the same tire. The Pro4 tire is at least as good. I can't compare completely because I changed to a set of HED Ardennes at the same time. I am very happy with this combination, great traction, handling and the wider rim smoothes out the rough stuff. Part of my regular ride is over a stretch known on Strava as the Worst Stretch of road in Seattle and this combination is more than up to the task. Haven't used them in the rain yet but I know the Pro3's did well in the rain so these should be fine. Even road the Pro3's in the rain on the Mt Baker Hillclimb (up and down) with no problems.
Replaced conti GP4000s tires with the Michelin Pro4's (used conti's for 2 full seasons... I had a couple of cuts in the conti's that they were not willing to help me with...one of the small cuts came on a tire that had 300miles on it) - I am glad I made the switch! These tires are supple but also fast. Bottom line is I can say they are as fast as Conti GP4000s but really made my ride more comfortable. I feel more secure in fast corners with the Pro4's too
Use these on both of my bikes, a TIME VRS and a Parlee Z5
These tires came on my new tri bike. I have 1500 all-weather miles (including 3 triathlons), and (knock wood) no issues.
Overall, a very good performer.
These tires are astoundingly fast and comfortable even at 110 psi. and much better than the pro 3's, my old tires. They're very difficult to mount on Fulcrum Racing 1 rims. However, if they're mounted, ridden for about 50 miles, then removed and remounted they loosen up a bit. Longevity was a negative for the Pro 3's and I hope these last longer.
I started using Micheline Pro2 because I was having trouble putting other tires on. Michelin Pro tires are pretty easyfast to install. Since they are 'race' wheels, they do tend to wear faster - I get a number of small cuts in the tires pretty quickly, though I don't end up having to change my tires all that often. All in all, a good deal. They feel good on the road and are easy to change.
New tire even better than Pro 3 which was great. Great road feel and control.
