Love the ride that these tires give. Time will tell about flats. I only have about 100 miles on them so far.
I use these tires for racing. There very fast and handle well, there light and they look great. I only get about fifteen hundred miles out of them because of the aggressive riding, but they are worth it to me!
Huge huge grip, very quiet and supple. I love the ride quality. Despite their race pedigree I use them on gravel (saltzman, Otto miller etc.) they hold up fine on the rough stuff
Good for long distance and speed
love these tires plus price was great.
The tire attacks corners and takes a few turns to get used to. But, once you do, WOW! Great for crit's. It does flat a bit easier than my preferred tire for a few years - Continental's Grand Prix 4000s so I am changing them out for 'everyday' training. Hope this helps!
I had Pro3's that lasted about 2,000 miles with no problems. Now they come in a color that matches my bike, everyone loves them.
Great road tire, confidence while in descents and cornering. Early wear factor is only negative.
We have had great results with the Pro4 tires. They handle great in all the conditions we face in Washington state. They have a great life. My current ones have well over 1k miles and do not look worn.
I bought the pink for my wife. I did find after riding in the rain they looked dirty. I was able to scrub them a little in the sink with soapy water and they had new life.
About 200 miles and they still look brand new. I use them for practice. You can never go wrong with a Michelin.
incredible improvement over my old tires. But for fellow Bianchi riders out there, it doesn't quite go with celeste )
Awesome tires!!!!!
I've been using Michelin ProRace tires for over ten years, ever since I purchased my Waterford 2200, which came with the original ProRace. I have always found them dependable, long lasting and resistant to flats. I've gotten as much as 7000 miles on my front tires and 4000 miles on the rear tires. My last Pro3 Race tires only provided a disappointing 2000-3000 miles, so I'm looking forward to see how these Pro4 tires turn out. I'm wondering if the compound has changed from previous tires? They are an excellent value if the mileage picks back up to what I've previously gotten.
Definitely built for racing. Grippy, fast tires. But, not good for training on Minnesota's crappy roads.
Used everyday for training rides. Rolling resistance has always been good with their pro race series, have used them for years. Mounted easier than previous models and cut resistance seems better. Good deal at western.
I've ridden Conti GP4000's for years and was tempted away by a great deal on these tires. I was surprised at how noticeably different the Pro4 SC's are. The Pro4 SC seem faster (who can really tell?) and they definitely grip more solidly in high speed turns than GP4000's, even on wet roads. It takes a little time to get used to the initial entry to turns - there is a definite loose feel before you lean and dig in, but once on your line, they hold tight.
A few other notes ...
- Tread rubber seems tougher than GP4000's, I have fewer annoying small cuts and glass nicks
- Flat resistance is good
- They look great.
I have been using Michelin Pro tires for years. I have always preferred them because they stick to the road like glue. My only complaint with the previous generation Pro3 was its low puncture resistance. I just assumed this was the price you payed when using a grippy tire (softer compound). With the Pro4, I am happy to report that Michelin has managed to keep all the performance (possibly better) and increased the puncture resistance significantly. The Pro4 is still a grippy tire and holds a line like a champ, but I have noticed a significant decrease in cuts and punctures on the contact patch. Fewer tires and great performance. Too cool. Thanks Michelin.
Just recently took these tires out for a ride, and they were really smooth, and responsive. Really iffy about fast corners cause I almost lost it....but was quick to recover. So far they are one of my favorite tires for the summer. Has great rolling resistance. I'm glad I purchased 2 sets....hehe.
Purchased these tires at a sale price! What a GREAT tire at an even better price! These are excellent tires in terms of ride comfort, quality of construction and durability. I ride about 140 miles per week on average to poor roads and they hold up very well.
the tires are great. I have had no problem's at all with them. I currently have 1100 miles on them without a problem. So far they are good on every thing i have taken them on.Currently I do triathlon's and long distance rides.
