The Aeon is about as close to not wearing any helmet as you can get. You can literally forget that it is on your head,super light and comfortable.But in my mind where the Aeon really shines is the cooling nature of it's aero design,when flying around the tarmac or climbing hills my head feels much cooler and fresher resulting in a riding experience that is more fun. Buy it you won't regret it!
It was time for a new helmet and I have always purchased Giro. It fits, is easy to adjust, light, and looks great. I rate this a 5 both for quality and value.
The shell is very large and looks big.
This helmet is light weight and has great airflow to keep your head cool. I really like the new thinner strap material and the adjustablity for a good fit.
I have been an avid cyclist since 1987 and have had several skid-lids over those years. This has been the most comfortable and best ventilated one for me so far. I would buy it again. I just hope to never really need it for its intended purpose, if I do I hope to be able to give a positive follow-up review!
I use this helmet for all training rides and events. It is an excellent helmet, well-designed, light, with many vents, and it is easy to adjust to size. Very comfortable.
Awesome fit and feels great on. Which is essentially what you need in a helmet, besides the crash durability but I haven't tested that out with this one yet. Reason I bought this helmet is because the last giro helmet saved my life in a crash over thanksgiving weekend 2011, so I keep my faith in the company that kept me around. Back to the helmet, the only partial negative thing I could say is the ratchet wheel to tighten the fit is much smaller compared to other helmets I have tested, but when you consider the light weight and fit it provides, you understand the reason behind it. Overall great helmet as it should be for top if the line gear. Looks great too.
This helmet is not cheap but I love it! Very light an often do a double take that I even have it on. I had lone from a few years ago and liked it but giro have improved again!
I ride around 150-200 miles a week. The Giro Aeon is comfortable and looks great. I initially had problems adjusting the chin strap, but finally got it to stay the correct length. It is significantly lighter than my last Giro helmet.
This is one great helmet the roc 5 system works great so the fit can be adjusted on the fly. Very light and cools almost to good.

aeon helmet is very light ,I ride 150 miles a week in off season and it has been fine.Really do not have any dislikes about helmet.
I use this product for safety while riding on my road as well as my mountain bike, so it is versatile. I like the adjustability of the retention system it is fast and will give a good snug fit. I have had several Giro helments and all have been very good. The only thing that is not to my liking is the price of entry on this helment.
Best helmet on the market, light weight, super comfortable. I ride with a lot of different amateur teams and the chat inevitably turns to gear. The Giro seemed to have surfaced as the helmet of choice so naturally I decide that light weight would equate to comfort over longer rides. I was correct in my assumption. Super light and super comfortable. I love this piece of my kit.

I wear a large Giro Ionos. The Aeon requires a medium size for me, fits more securely and is noticeably lighter. Venting is about the same. I use the Ionos for cool weather because of the removable liner and the ability to accommodate my Capo skullcap. For warm weather, the Aeon for long hot rides.
