My experiences with the GP5000 tire has been very good. A bit pricey, and I can only get 1200-1500 miles on a set; but experience on road has been a good performer. I plan to continue I need to use this tire on my road bike
Still good after 400 miles. Nice surface grip. I've road on very rough and pot hole filled roads with no complaints.
Ride smooth, feel fast, not enough miles to comment on puncture resistance. Moved to these from a pair of Pro Endurance 4's and they are a tighter fit for sure but nothing I'm concerned about if I have to make a change on the road.
Great tire that is a nice ride and fast. What else do you need?
Used to ride the GP 4000S and I switched to the 5000, it's keeping me satisfied.
Great road feel with adequate puncture protection. Loved the 4000 but they seemed to have vulnerable side walls. 5000 seems to have better sidewalls.
I use this tire for riding in group rides
I like the puncture resistance of the tire. I live in the goat head state of NM and these tires roll nice and keep me from repairs.
32cm nice grip and more comfort. How long will they last?
I have done miles up on miles with minimal puncture.
Initially ordered wrong size and replaced with no hassle Thanks for the great service
No issues going on DT Swiss 421 rims. Loved the look with dark grey bike and tan sidewall. Feels softer and grippier than Michelin Power, Specialized Turbo Pro and Vitoria Rubino. No issues with flat protection on Houston streets and bayous. Bought in 28 and installed width is 29mm on 20mm internal wheel.
I placed an order in Oct 2021 and received these tires in January (28cm). Conti tires are my mainstays and can already tell a difference.
The last set (another brand) punctured with relative frequency and the thought of a possible puncture was always present.
Time will tell with this set, but experience with Conti tires leads me to believe I'm in good shape.
I am not a hot shot hi speed rider but more like an old guy looking for every advantage. I have ridden on Conti 4000 since they came out and when I got a new bike I upgraded to the 5000. The improvement was noticeable and when I experienced a really bad cut in my 5000 I ordered a new one. I don't think it is my imagination that the newer 5000 I bought is even better than the originals. Plus the sidewalls give me that '56 Chevy look!
I purchased the cream wall tires , look great and Very smooth riding tire, great puncture resistant tire over 700 miles. Wont use no other tire. Worth every penny !
Rolls very quickly plus great grip around corners. Top quality tire.
One of the lowest rolling resistance tires and all around performers out there for the money. This has become my "go-to" tire and have it on several bikes.
I have used these for some years. I'm no lightweight (200 lbs.), so flats are an issue for me. I have had uniformly good luck with Grand Prix 5000's - particularly when they are new. They ride and corner well. I replace them about every 2500 miles - I notice that at that wear level I start getting flats.
Because of the weather conditions in my area I haven't had a chance to ride but my experience with the tires so far are great. They were easy to install them and I am looking forward to get on the trails in spring and try them.
It took six months to receive the new tires with >20 shipping updates with new dates. The price of the tires on this site was slightly lower when the tires actually did ship compared to when I placed the order, but I still got charged the original price.
