I bought the 700x28 sized tires for my Specialized Tarmac. Definitely a solid upgrade for me, the previous versions were 700x23. I'm definitely liking the larger tire, with less PSI. Makes for a smooth ride!
I reviewed these tires several years ago, and still love them. Ive used them on my road bike and on my wifes, using 23s,25s and 28s for various applications. When the 28s first came out, I think continental lacked the courage of their convictions, and the 28s seemed very close in size to the 25s. I just replaced my 28 front tire with a newly ordered 28. The new one has about a 2mm higher profile than the one it replaced, and is about one mm wider. Now that wider tires are in vogue, it looks like Continental is going with the fashion and making the 28s truer to size. It may be a problem if youre fitting it to a bike with very tight tire clearances.
Use these in 28mm for both my gravelrain bike and on a tandem. Never let me down. Nice stick in the wet, too!
Smooth ride and nice grip. One descent on wet roads. Very comfortable.
Flatted on my second ride. Granted, my commute is 24 miles RT in Denver over rocksbroken glassrock saltyou name it. I'd definitely run over stuff that I was certain would cause a flat and didn't, but on a normal ride I got home and found my tire flat the next morning.
YMMV
Rode the 4-Seasons down the length of the Cascade Mountain Range from Hope BC to Sacramento CA with zero flats. Traction is amazing on both wet and dry roads. Perhaps best of all they give a very smooth ride, adsorbing road vibrations, a really big deal when riding six to eight hours a day, weeks on end. 5-stars in my book. Oh, I also commute on 4-Seasons here in rainy Portland.
I have not yet laced-up these these Conti 4-Seasons to my Vuelta wheel set, yet. I am waiting for my current pair of Conti 25mm Gatorskin foldables to give their last, before I swap them out. This will be the third set of Continental Brand tires I have ridden on my 30 mile daily commute on the current bike, and all without a single flat (knocking on the wooden desk now). I have tried three other brands of tire with much less success (Maxxis, Ribmo, and Vittorias) and they all ended badly, with either continuous flats or complete tire blow-outs. Highly regard the Conti's. Last set wore off all the rubber tread surface, down to the woven inner liner in a couple spots, before I decided to retire them and I never had a singe issue up to that point. High hopes for this set, once the current pair have done their job. Reliable and speedy choice.
I got 15 bikes and tried most of the tires.
These are far the best All around tire ever.
One time l was descending and a motorcycle just accelerated really loud next to me and thought ke struck me. Bike wiggled big-time to the point where it so stewards and l was was just waiting for it to skid. But surprisingly it didn't and l was able to pick it up. Descending about more than 35mph. These tires are really amazing and won't settle for anything else.
These 32mm tires are just like the 25mm and 28mm versions in looks and construction. Unlike the 28mm version, they run very true to size.
Love this Tire rides So Smooth on Road. I Ride Between 60 and 80 Psi and I do a Lot of City riding with Lots of Trash on side of Roads. Running less Air helps a lot for Riding Comfort and That's what I Love about these Tires. Haven't had a Flat Yet even with running low Air Pressure. Tire has a Lot of Support also.
City bike lane daily commute for years. Normal wear, but no puncture flats.
On pavement
these tires are great I have used them for years and have had only about 2 or 3 flats in about 10,000 miles ,very defendable and wear very well will last you about 1000 miles for rear tire where all the wear is
Excellent deal on these great tires. Seem to be a much better ride than the skins they replaced although those are a very good tire too.
This has become my tire of choice for year round use. Yes, the Conti 4000 may be marginally faster but Im not racing. The Gatorskin ride is very poor in my opinion which is a huge limitation.
So an excellent wearing, very flat resistant, good feeling tire describes this model perfectly. Occasionally after some rain rides, Ill inspect the tire for imbedded glass. Inevitably I find some but apparently the Vectran has done its job. Ill pick the pieces out, put a spot of superglue in the hole and forget about it.
In short I love this tire!
This tire is pricey. But with 430 TPI, puncture protection, and relatively light weight, there really isn't another tire like it on the market. I roll with it on both my road bikes year-around. And I only buy it when it's on sale.
I ride 4000 road miles plus a few MTB miles annually. As a mature but still aggressive rider (70), I appreciate a tire with good durability and performance characteristics. This is a great tire for dependable training and non-race events. Light enough to be an efficient road tire, but tough enough to ride through occasional gravel sections. Very durable and puncture resistant, even in Arizona.
Super tough tires. Have held up really well this winter. Mainly used for commuting.
Rolls easy. Grips. Tough. Reasonably long-lasting.
Best tires. For all seasons, and all conditions.
Continental 4 Season offer great grip and long life.
