I put these tires on my 'cross bike and they roll really well and I'm sure they will be durable!
I have found this tire to be very good and durable.
Heard they were good, two flats in two weeks though.
I've been using Continental Gatorskins for the past year. They wear well, resist flats and are fairly easy to mount. So far I've had no troubles with them.
Product ordering was efficient and delivery was quick.
The Gator Skin tires has proven to be very strong in resisting road damage. Have been riding current set for three years.
They're tires. They work. We're on a tandem, so flat resistance and decent ride are important to us. Weight doesn't matter.
This is my second set of Gatorskins and feel they are the best tire and value for my needs. When the weather and roads are clear in the Denver area, I usually get in a 35 - 50 mile ride once a week.
less chances of getting flats. Great ride with a better wear rate. Thousands of miles on Continental gatorskin tires I will buy these until a better tire comes along. That may be a long time
good grip, cusion nice, don't forget to put a liner in any tire you buy
Three years...one flat.
This is a eazy rolling tire that has stood up to road hazards. I rode the last 5000 miles on this tire and no flats.
What I don't like about it nothing.
Every November I install a new set on my bike for Tucson's 100 mile race. Never had a flat on race day, or any other day.
I've used Continental Gatorskin tires exclusively for the last four years while logging in 10,000 miles per year. Tire mileage has been great (3000 on rear, 5000 on front) and they have excellent resistance to punctures.
Great winter training tires and always dependable backups the rest of the year.
For the last two years, I have used nothing but Continental Gatorskin tyres on my 1987 Trek (Touring)700 x 25 for summer and century riding, 700 x 32 for winter and touring. On the journey last year from Rochester, NY to Portsmouth, NH ... not one flat and excellent stability, rolling, ... everything. Used with the white stuff inside the tube, they are indeed nearly indestructible.
I use this tire during my entire training season. Little heavy so a better workout. I am not changing flats because flats are rare and I also am not buying new tires throughout the season because of flats and blowouts.
These tires are tough! One of the most puncture proof tires I've had.
Few flat tires
Second set of Gatorskin tires.....very solid tires, fewer flats than previous tires over fairly rough roads in the Midwest
They are a bear to get onto Fulcrum rims the first two or three times. After that, not too bad. Hoping to get a lot of miles out of these.
Hi,
Thanks for your review! How many flats you get will depend on a lot of factors -- road quality, debris, the pressure you're running, and so on. That said, these are probably the number one tire we recommend to customers who want great flat resistance without sacrificing a quick, responsive ride. I'd suggest that you double-check your rim tape and tube to eliminate any other causes of the flats, and examine the tires themselves for defects. If you think you might have defective tires, don't hesitate to get in touch with us at [email protected].
Thanks, Stacia
