They are a little hard to get on but offer great performance
Great tires for riding and keeping you going from normal road debris. On a new tire I can easily go 500-700 miles with a flat. If you hit a nail or heavy duty staple just right, the metal will win usually.
I only ride on gator skin
Perfect tire for weekend club rides. Good traction, smooth riding, and after 500 miles, puncture free. Couldn't ask for more.
The tires arent puncture proof, but one can certainly can go over some rough stuff without fear of a blowout. I like their long wear ability and smooth ride.
Out of all brands gatorskins seem to last me more with no punctures what so ever
Easy to mount. Rides well. Cannot comment on mileage or flat resistance since the tires have been in service for only two months.
The streets in my area are full of potholes and often broken glass. These tires hold up well.
Great product and fast shipping. Will purchase again.
Im still relatively new to road biking but when I replaced my old tires with Continental Gatorskins I noticed a big difference. It feels like I just got more power and faster speeds and a much better ride.
Best road tires, non touring made! Great handling, tons of miles, zero to no flats for life of tire. Even better at a great price. Get out and ride, it's a beautiful day.... stop looking at this reuew, order, put them and follow your bliss.
i only use contis but i had awful luck with my new rear tire. i got a nice puncture the first month i had it. i patched it. unfortunately it keeps flatting on me. i went through 3 brand new tubes i got from you guys too. unfortunate!
Great tire with almost never flatting!
Great bike tire so far, sturdy and light.
I use the tires for road and gravel rides. I have used them for over 8 years with only one flat and that was my fault as it was a pinch flat as I let too much air out for a gravel ride.
I've bought and used 4 sets and average 4-6 thousand miles a set. Although price creeping up still would buy again.
If you ride in a city, you can't go wrong with Gatorskins. I put in 50 miles a week, over 2500 miles a year through some gritty streets and rarely get a flat. They ride smooth and fast, with low roll resistance.
I use these mostly for commuting. Almost never a flat and nice ride. The wire bead seems to be easier to mount and dismount than a folder.
After two back to back flats while on a weekly group ride I decided to upgrade to these Continental Gatorskins. I have since ridden about 500 miles through glass and debris loaded streets without a problem.
good tires so far, put about 100 miles on them since installing. first time I am not using tire liners and I live in an area with rough debris filled roads, I have run over a lot of rocks and debris and so far no flats. tire liners were causing more flats than they were worth so thought I would try Gatorskins and glad I did.
