I live in Colorado and don't ride anything but Gatorskins. First most roads here are pretty rough and these are the only tires that I have found that hold up to the pounding I give them. Second I ride Mt. Evans every year, descending at 40 mph on the very rough road with shear drop offs, I wouldn't trust anything else with my life. I get a good 6000 mile year out of these tires. About the only thing that they can't stop are goat heads (puncture vine thorns.)
I replaced the stock Bontragers on my 2010 Trek FX 7.5 with these Gatorskins and they're freakin' awesome! I love the handling on turns and am not afraid to plow through the occasional stretch of gravel. They were pretty easy to put on, even for a relative noob mechanic like me. The price wasn't the cheapest but you get what you pay for. Time will tell how well they hold up in the long run, but for now, I'm very happy with them.
Use Gatorskins for training and fitness. Like the looks and the durability.
I live near a road that is been deemed "Shrapnel Alley" on Strava these tires get me through there hundreds of times a year without flats. And when I've had a flat the amount of discarded debris is beyond the normal amount and would send cars to the tire shop.
I have been riding on Gatorskin tires for over 10 years. I find them to be very durable with very few flats. I'm a recreational cyclist so durability is preferable to possibly a lighter weight. I recently switched from wire bead to folding. I think folding is slightly easier to put on, plus they are much easier to transport on a bike tour.
I've used Gatorskins on my road bike for years and thousands of miles. I love their reliability and ride feel over paved surfaces ranging from smooth and clean, to patched-rough and scattered with debris.

The Gatorskin is my 'goto' tire for my road bike. I ride through some rough roads and occasional trails on these and they perform well. They last about two thousand plus miles, so a very hardy tire.
Good tires, easy to install
I love these tires!!
I've been seduced by cheaper prices and have bought other tires but I keep returning to the gatorskins. I go months without flats with these.
Bottom line for me is fewer flats!
Use on all my road bikes. Rolls great and puncture resistant.
Cannot beat these for a tire that can be used foff for training and racing due to there high reliability from flats. Heavier than 5000s. If you have ever seen a triathlete on the side of road attempting to change a tire during a race you now know what I am writing about.
I use it for training and racing in though terrain
I use the tire in my commuting bike. Feel confident that I can get to work and get home without a fat.
Great tyre for every day riding, usually swap them out after a year of use, can't ask for more than that!!
Bought 28cc tire as a replacement to my original 23cc tires. Have about 400 miles on the new tires and they seem to be functioning ning well. No cuts or flats in the tread. Smoother ride and were easy to install. Look forward to putting on many more care free miles.
I gave these tires to my daughter who lives in Oakland CA and uses a bike as her primary mode of transportation. She loves them!
Road bike tire. Foldable tires easier to change on the road.
This purchase was for the 700C x 32 Gatorskin. I've had great wear on the 650C x 23 Gatorskins I use on my Bacchetta recumbent, and very few flats.
It was time to replace the original 700C x 32C Bontragers on my Trek Crossrip, With the replacement of the rear tire only, my speed was comfortably several mph faster. Apparently the Bontragers were that stiff. When it's time to replace the front tire, the other Gatorskin in the pair I bought will go there. Maybe the ride will be even better then. In case, I'm confident that I'll get great wear out of them.
I have used Gatorskins for years. They are like an old shoe comfortable, reliable and at a fair price. I am very happy with the product. The only reason I don't give them five stars is that I don't know if there are better tires out there.
