Vafels "Stroopvafels" are a vegan version of the Dutch style stroopwafel made from two thin waffle cookies held together with a sweet layer of caramel. The Stroopvafel is USDA Organic and is best enjoyed as a snack between meals or as a quick energy boost before, during or after rides.
Inspired by the classic Dutch Stroopwafel, originating in South Holland in the late 18th Century, these "syrup waffles" are beloved in the Netherlands and cherished worldwide. Vafels leaves out the eggs, milk and dairy, offering a plant-based alternative without sacrificing the flavor of the original classic!

This is one of my go-to products for energy when hiking. The taste is great; the package is small and it's easy to scarf one down on the fly. The only drawback is that the waffle seems to be rather crumbly and leaves a bit of residue on my fingers that I have to use a cloth (or my pant leg) to clean up.
