I replaced my previous SRAM Eagle cassette with a new direct replacement. Why? Well besides the ease of shifting, longevity, trustworthy on long rides, day in and day out performance, it looks damn cool.
Recently bought a Jones Plus LWB and decided to try a 1x system. The SRAM Eagle seemed like the way to go. These cassettes are pretty amazing as, aside from the last 50t cog, it is machined from a single piece of metal. For the size of the damn thing the weight isn't bad. The range is great with a 10t small cog and 50t large, my only complaint is that in the sweet spot, for me with a 34t front ring, the % difference between gears is not as finessed as my road double. And, coming from DuraAce DI2, shifting is a little clunky. That is not to say the Eagle system works poorly, just kind of chunky shifting. I would not attribute that to the cassette, but more likely the extra long arm derailleur.
