Road racing. CX. Gravel. Coffee rides. The SRAM Force eTap AXS D2 12-Speed Rear Derailleur truly does it all and looks good doing it.
The single cage length works with any cassette size from 10-28T to 10-36T, in 1x or 2x configurations. Shifts are fast and precise, and the Orbit fluid damper keeps the chain in control, whether the obstacle you're hitting is a pothole or a root. And the graphics pop just the right amount, to remind you that you have the coolest fully wireless drivetrain out there.

I wished I could say it was easier than the FD install as to setup, but any RD after install will take some trial and error of dialing it in................this new D2 Force is no different of course. But what is nice just like the FD by SRAM is the included plastic install tool that gets you at the right distance between the jockey wheel and the large rear cog with no eyeballing or guess work. Once that is done then to the dialing in to precise tune it via the app and micro-adjusting. Shifts like a dream and hopefully the new fluid dampening aspect will greatly reduce or eliminate any potential chain slap on less than ideal roads. Perfection so far.........other than SRAM really needs with any FD or RD include one new SRAM battery! Come on SRAM!
replacing my 105 groupset to put together sram 1x system for my road bike. love the wireless nature because it allows me to pack the bike for travel easily. The battery is small and I can charge in the house, also when packing for flight, it does not cause any issue. It shifts precise and fast and effortless.
The Force D2 derailleur performs pretty much the same as the D1 version but now has a fluid dampener but more importantly it actually looks good w/ it's black and metallic finish. The old grey Force simply looked cheap. The big reason to upgrade or choose the D2 over the D1 version is now you can now use up to a 36T cassette so if you just want massive range or even do 1X you now can.
