By combining tall square teeth and sharp narrow teeth, X-Sync chainrings provide the performance needed for SRAM's 1 x 11 'cross group. The tall teeth engage the chain earlier than a traditionally shaped chainring, and the narrow teeth help manage deflected chains, especially when paired with this chainrings chamfered edges. Made with the durability needed to stand up to the rigors of cyclocross racing, and with mud clearing recesses to help keep your chain clean, these chainrings are key to SRAM's cyclocross oriented CX1 group.
SRAM CX1 X-Sync Chainrings are available in sizes 38T (68g), 40T (73g), 42T (75g), 44T (85g), and 46T (98g). 110 BCD. Compatible with Quarq power meters.

This chainring works fine with my SRAM 1x drivetrain but was a pain to install on my Force hidden- bolt crankset. The internet offers how-to tips on removing and re-installing the spider, but the process isnt self-evident if youre used to working with traditional bolt-on chainrings. SRAMs packaging includes no instructions.
Both chainrings on the 2010 cross bike were toast, so installed this to convert to a 1X. Outstanding! Never drops off the chainring from 10 to 32 tooth cogs, ever. Love the 1X systems, for cross or gravel-grinder it's the tool of choice.
