Smartwool products are some of the best, so I wanted to get their beanie. When it arrived, I was surprised how thin it was and wondering if it would even work. It does. With the colder months, I wear it in the house all the time and it keeps me extra warm. When the weather is around 45-55 degrees, I wear it outside. For cycling, same with the temps. If it gets colder than 45, you'll need something thicker to cut the wind chill. The beanie could be used as a base layer for a headband wrap.
