No matter if you like a long and challenging ride or take an adventure through the city, these road cycling shoes are for you. For those with wider feet than most, there's no need to feel left out either. Treat yourself to the shoe designed for ultimate performance on tough uphills and wild descents. Taking inspiration from the top-of-the-range Shimano RC9 road shoe, the Men's Wide SH-RC502 road shoe brings many of the same features you know and love at a more wallet-friendly price.
This high-quality shoe comes with many of the highly-rated S-PHYRE RC9 features, including a wrap-around upper with a glove-like fit. Because the wide style of the RC502 is perfect for any foot type that feels a bit restricted in the typical sizing, the single BOA® dial closure system makes your foot feel right at home. A carbon sole is reinforced for extra durability on the pedals without wearing down. The seamless, wrap-around construction of the uppers is integrated with the sole for lower stack height.
The eye-catching blue colorway of the Shimano RC502 Wide Road Shoe delivers style and excellence in one hard-to-miss package. With all the features fit for the podium including a fantastic fit and ultimate comfort without sacrificing power, you won't want to miss this unbeatable shoe at an economical price point.

They seem to painfully tighten up around the top of my foot even if I have the boa quite loose. The wrap around upper just seems like a bad design.
Also, any cycling shoe that has a unidirectional Boa gets 1 star off, as there is no reason not to use the bidirectional boa.
Not as pretty as Sidi shoe in my opinion, but seems to work okay. I have a wide foot and bought the "Wide" version. It's not all that wide, marginal for a EE shoe wearer. I'm hoping that it will stretch a little with use.
I like the slightly longer tongue than the more expensive version, but the single BOA does not seem to hold the foot as snugly as the double BOA system on the more expensive version. It's a good value though, does the trick. In all fairness I think you have to make adjustments to almost every shoe while you ride.
