Back in the day, preparing for gravel racing and adventure riding meant having to decide between pure road components or mountain bike components. There can be drawbacks to both. The GRX ST-RX810 Dropper Post Lever allows you to lower your center of gravity, when you're descending those long bumpy fire-roads in the drops, improving confidence and control. There's no need to change hand position mid-ride to initiate your dropper post. The ST-RX810 Dropper Post optimizes space in your cockpit for a more sleek, minimal look while giving you maximum control, removing the need to move your hands out of your drops.
Please note: this lever is only compatible with Shimano GRX 1x drivetrains. Dropper actuation takes the place of the left shifter which prevents 2x compatibility. Additionally, the shift cable head must be positioned at the lever. This means it only works with dropper posts that can clamp to the cable itself without relying on having the cable head at the post.

This dropper lever is really nice! I started with the more common lever on my gravel bike that allows a pull/push from different positions. It was stiffer, and with slightly arthritic fingers, I had to get my hands in a slightly awkward position, push the lever, and then change my hand position. I could do it, but I avoided it if I could. This new lever is so much easier and more convenient to use! Even with a sale price, it still stings a bit, but I don't regret it!
