Description
Meet The New Dura-Ace 9100 Cassette
Upgrade your gearing to the incredible dependability and meticulous engineering of Shimano's Dura-Ace CS-R9100 11-Speed Cassette. 9100 isn't a typo there, it is, in fact, a newly reworked version of Dura-Ace. When the brand introduces a new groupset, you can be sure it's actually boasting improvements you don't have to be in the pro peloton to immediately detect.
Since Dura-Ace is the top-tier drivetrain in the Shimano road lineup, you might be surprised that only the largest five cogs are titanium. That's because—though it's lighter—titanium is generally more prone to wear than nickel-plated steel, and the smaller cogs are more prone to wear than the larger. Because of these material properties, Shimano only uses titanium where the softer metal doesn't create a significant negative impact.
Features:
- Ride with more intuitive gearing on this improved cassette from Shimano
- Precisely machined cogs balance weight and durability
- Carbon and alloy carrier blends low weight and strength
- Titanium (top 5) and nickel-plated steel (smallest 6) construction
- Carbon fiber and alloy carrier
- Available in 11-25t, 11-28t, 11-30t, 12-25t, 12-28t options
- Compatible with Shimano 11-speed hubs
- Weight: 187g (11-28t)

I love the look and polish of Campy, but I switched to Shimano Dura-Ace years ago and haven't looked back. It is in my opinion the best high end groupset for the money. Easy to service, easy to maintain, easy to get parts. The Dura-Ace cassette is lighter than Ultegra and 105, does it really matter - to me yes it does. I have high end carbon whees and bike so I want all weight advantages I can get. This cassette with dura-ace chain and derailleur is quick, crisp shifting!

its a cassette I trust, looks like they have changed the packaging, probably due to supply chain issues

Second Time Around

This is the third cassette & chain of these I've used for Dura-Ace. 1st set I got 9013 miles and 2nd was 8571. Proper maintenance (cleaning and lube) can extend the mileage. When the chain needs replacing, I replace the cassette. Prior to replacing I still was not experiencing any issues. Replaced chain due to recommended measurements.

Duracesmooth as butter. Had to get an extra for my new carbon wheelset. Didnt wanna keep pulling off my cassette. I do find the 30t a nice bump for those 22% grades I never ride.

Transitioning to Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 after many years on Campy mechanical. This cassette forms part of what is a very well designed and reliable drive train.
