The Redshift ShockStop Suspension Stem smooths out road imperfections, reducing fatigue and strain. Whether you're on a local group ride, or exploring gravel back roads, the ShockStop Stem will make your ride smoother, faster, and more comfortable.
The minimal design of the ShockStop Stem blends seamlessly with the aesthetic of modern bikes, while reducing fatigue and strain. Along with the ShockStop Suspension Seatpost, this system works together to suspend the rider and smooth out rough terrain on the bike you already own. Great for bikepacking, gravel biking and commuter e-bikes.

This part isn't cheap (yet I am) so I waited til it was on sale. Now after riding for a few months I would've had no problem paying full price even if it upset my frugal Irish-Catholic ancestors.
The suspension is controlled and predictable (and you can further tune it to your liking with the elastomers provided). If you mostly ride on the hoods you'll notice/feel the displacement more. It might throw you off at first but it only took me seconds to get used to (maybe avoid bombing a steep hill for your first few minutes of riding this stem).
The installation instructions (and official youtube vid) are very descriptive and more than enough to DIY. Redshift was really quick/responsive when I reached out to them directly too (I thought I had an issue with the stem making clicking noises, but turned out it was my headset being dirty/dry and needing a cleaning/re-greasing)
This is my second redshift stem, the first being 70mm for an S&S coupled travel bike. I bought this for my TI endurance ride. Stem was a great addition to both bikes. Absorbs large impacts from pot holes or gravel without being overly squishy. You do feel a slight bob at full sprint but it's well worth it.
Takes a lot of the bumps and vibration out of rough dirt and gravel. It's like floating. It's not as effective over big hits like a full suspension set up but it's not designed to be. I also have the seat post. They're a great combo. Worth the small weight penalty. It
