Compared to the Pearl Izumi sleeves, these are thicker and warmer, and they do not work for me past 85F. Beyond that it is personal preference for "comfort". Would not buy them again based on thickness.
Because they are thicker, i think this leads to perceptions of "quality" being high in my mind; good construction and they will last many years.
The bicep portion is much larger than expected or practical. Size chart indicates 14" for large and my bicep is 14" and they are not even what you would call "snug". Depending on your jersey choice and the snugness of the jersey sleeve, they fall down. Length is as-expected as I am at a 33-34" sleeve in a dress shirt and the sleeve lands where it should betwixt bicep and deltoid and then gives enough to stay under the cuff of a glove.
Look you put on sun screen but after an hour where is it? I don't know but not on your arms. The Procorsa Sun Sleeves are a slightly heavier feeling fabric the Castelli sun sleeves but fit feel and protect your arms every bit as well. Put them on before you out on your jersey and they seem to stay up better. Otherwise, there can be a gap between jersey and the sleeve which looks not pro and can be annoying to pull them up while riding. I also use them hiking, doing yard work and occasional fishing trip.
I bought two pair of these sun sleeves in anticipation of a trip I had planned for road cycling in Mallorca. A little additional sun protection seemed to be a good idea. I had my wife measure my arm length to ensure I was ordering the correct size. I have used the sleeves three times now, and the only negative is that they bunch up significantly at the inside of my elbow bend. They are the correct length, and are comfortable at the wrist, and do not slip down at the top, but I really don't like the way they fit mid-arm. No, I don't have pencil arms, so that isn't the problem. I'll likely return these sleeves when I get home.
Ive worn these sleeves for a few hundred miles in various heat and sunny conditions, and my results are mixed. I guess they do the job from a sun protection standpoint, but I didnt find them nearly as cool or breathable as most of the other reviewers. Predictably, air flow made a huge difference, so they were certainly more comfortable on faster, flatter rides than when working hard uphill at slower speeds. Finally, if youre on the thinner side like me, you may have problems with the proximal end staying in place. Mine would slide down many times over the course of a ride. Not sure if Id purchase again.
I REALLY like the looks of the sun sleeves, both white and black. However, I'm sorry to write that issue causing me to not like them overall (2 stars) is they were properly snug on my wrists as expected, but the other ends were somewhat loose and consequently would slide down -- making them unusable (both the white and black pairs I purchased). I have other sun sleeves, no style at all, but they don't slide down and the wrists are snug. My deltoid and biceps are not small
Living in NE Florida, the morning temps are "relatively chilly" from just a few months ago. Not only do these sleeves protect from the sun (Full disclosure - I have not worn these in the heat yet) but they are the perfect sleeve for these fall mornings when a thermal sleeve may be too warm. I don't keep things white, so it's a matter of time before the miles put on some grease, grime, sweat and dirt. After a few wears, I am glad I bought these sleeves. They are a tad heavier than some other summer sleeves I own so will have to test them out next summer.
I have been riding in the Texas summer sun a lot and have been taking on a lot of recent skin damage even with full sun block. Since buying these I've made a point to carry them along, but only turned to them twice after finding myself fully baking on the pavement in the 95+ degree sweltering heat. Both times I felt like an immediate and noticeable cooling relief from the sun and temps wondered why I haven't been using them more often and at the start? I can feel the cooling effect only when there is reasonable air flow or wind. I do feel a warmer when stopped, but even then I can feel them helping to mitigate the direct sun. Sizing seems true to the chart... I am 5'10' and have about a 14.5" upper arm circumference and the large fit fit just slightly tight with good length for me. With the silicone on the bands, these do not slide. They seem to have gotten slightly discolored after a couple of washes and the white does not hold up as brightly as anticipated. I ordered these along with a pair of PIs at the same time but returned the PIs right away as they were sized too small and they felt warm rather than cool.
Since I converted to using sun sleeves I wear them around on sunny days even when I'm not riding. They are great for hiking or out on a boat when you will be out in the sun for a prolonged period of time and sweating constantly. I bought them for my wife, son-in-law, and several pairs for me though they dry so quickly unless you train every day you can hand wash them and they are no more than slightly damp the next morning. So far I've used Castelli and Procorsa and found both brands to work equally well. I am 5' 9" 165 lbs. (large Castelli) my 6' 1" 200 lbs. son-in law found the Procorsa large to fit fine. Skin cancer is no joke! Let's avoid that shall we? Stay healthy!
The idea of sleeves on a sunny day are foreign to me. It does not make sense. What I found out is that my concerns about being hot, or sweaty uncomfortable were wrong. They fit well and do not feel thick, heavy, or hot.
My arms are long and skinny. These sleeves don't stay up well. My old ones fit more tightly

I commute 26 miles a day, and have used these sleeves all summer. They work as advertised, and once they're on, you don't notice them at all. I also use them for protection when kayaking. Would definitely buy these again, and am wondering why it took me so long to get them in the first place.
Likes: snug fit, stylish, manage sweat, keep cooler, long enough to fold gripper down, keep bugs and sun off.
Comments: tightly-woven fabric is not as breathable as other sleeves, but they may not wear out as quickly either. These do not hold as much water/perspiration as other sleeves. Price was acceptable.
I wanted the sleeves to work. They fit snugly at my wrists but we're loose on upper arms. They seem well made and are nice looking sleeves - stylish! But unusable because they slip down.
