The helmet's EPS liner is thicker in the zones where most impacts occur, giving every rider enhanced protection where it is most needed. The Octal's fully wrapped unibody shell enhances the structural stiffness of the helmet, giving optimum strength at a low weight.

I've tested this helmet on several occasions where I ended up in the hospital. Yes, I bought a new helmet after each "test" and my head never was the worst of my injuries.
That's why I continue to buy the same helmet over and over.
My head won't fit into a Smith, Oakley, etc size large, but the large in POC is perfect. The fit and finish don't feel as nice as my first POC octal that I got in 2018, but it is still very light, very breathable, and this one has MIPS. Would buy again
