Description

Pad Smarter, Not Harder

Whether you're pounding pavement, grinding gravel, or slicing through singletrack, the Pearl Izumi Expedition Glove will improve your ride.

The key element of this endurance-focused glove is the 1:1® Control Gel Palm, which uses a central pad to support the natural curve of your hand, preventing nerve compression that causes numbness. Unlike traditional padded gloves that can feel bulky, this design maintains contact points – under the knuckles and at the base of the palm – that are crucial to handlebar feel. You will notice added control out of the parking lot, and less fatigue deep into the ride.

The synthetic leather palm material has the durability and feel of genuine leather while being washable, and the Lycra panel on the back provides excellent breathability to keep you comfortable throughout the adventure.

Features:

  • Synthetic leather palm
  • 1:1® Control Gel Palm padding
  • Microfiber nose wipe
  • Slip-on design
  • Back: 66% nylon, 17% polyester, 17% spandex / Palm: 60% nylon, 40% polyurethane / Lining: 100% polyester

sizing was good but i wasn't a fan of the gel padding on the palm. pearl izumi is a quality brand but that padding gave me some hand numbness so they're not for me.

Great glove, but the "gel" kills them

These have the potential to be a great glove, good fit, love the colors, and the material is very comfortable. Until you get to the "gel" padded palms. Absolutely the hardest gel-palmed glove I've ever worn, since the first ride. I gave them a few more rides, but had to take them off in the middle of a 20-mile ride. They just feel like a solid chunk of high-density foam, and they created painful pressure points no matter where I positioned my hand. Obviously everyone's anatomy will differ, but just something to be aware of, the gel pad is VERY hard.
