I like USB rechargeable lights and purchased these for kids bikes riding around (not in the street) during the evening. Primarily to make them more visible. The kids also use them for flashlights when camping. They've had others, but between their friends borrowing them and who knows what, they lose track of them, so something not to expensive is important.
I liked the idea of this being 180 lumens, I thought it was about right for them to be seen without so much light that when they inadvertently shine it in your eyes (and it always happens because they are oblivious to how it bothers some folks). But this only has the 180 lumens when used in the flash mode, something I didn't figure out until charging and playing with it. If I believe their rating info on the package, it is only 70 lumens on the brighter of two light modes.
The large rubber plug protecting the USB attachment detaches completely, a disadvantage if it is lost. The activation button is stiff and was hard for 8 & 10 yr old kids I asked to try it, but they figured it out. The plastic is sealed, which should help protect it from water, dust & sand. the clip-on system is a bit tricky. I haven't figured out when you'd ever use the molded clip, but it gets the job done with the stretchy band. Again, not easy to use, but not impossible either.
