The Sidi Genuis 5.5 road shoe's exceptionally light sole was redesigned to better balance power transfer and overall foot health/comfort for the high-perfomance, high-mileage cyclist. The Sidi Genuis 5.5's breathable, supple, and durable Lorica Microfiber Upper keeps feet comfortable with cooling mesh inserts and the redesigned heel cup is vented and reflective for added comfort and visibility. The Sidi Genuis 5.5 two velco strap and Caliper buckle allows for easy on the bike adjustment and the soft instep closure system and padded tongue eliminates pressure points. The Carbon composite sole is designed with a thinner sole in the toe to provide a slight amount of flex while retaining excellent stiffness and power transfer in the body of the shoe. Sidi understands the need for a high performance and stiff sole and has accomplished this without compromising the foot's blood circulation. The Carbon composite sole is made out of injected Carbon Fiber in a matrix of Nylon 12, which doesn't absorb water or lose rigidty in hot or humid weather or as it ages. The end result? 110 grams lighter per pair compared to Millennium 2 Sole!
