In this day and age of triathlon and road racing it is not uncommon to hear quotes such as "this is the best bike I've ever ridden". Many manufacturers are doing their very best to create excellent machines so this statement can be more representative of a rider being on a bike that fulfills their everyday riding needs. The Cervelo RS model is a bike built to withstand the everyday punishment that serious riders can dole out. The RS has superb vertical road compliance for vibration dampening on bumpy, rough roads. It is has all the stiffness in th bottom bracket area you can imagine which was enough to carry Thor Hushovd to the podium of the Paris Roubaix. Road compliance can be a somewhat under rated attribute. Basically if the frame absorbs much of the road shock before it reaches the rider then there will invariably be more gas left in the tank to grab the "City Limit Sign" sprint.

The nuts and bolts of the Cervelo RS model are: Excellent road vibration dampening blended with great lateral stiffness which results in a comfortable ride that climbs quickly, descends with the best and can be built fairly easily in the 15-17lb range for the weight weenie.
